Munich offers a wide range of cultural activities. In addition to the Oktoberfest and FC Bayern, the Bavarian capital has a wide range of cultural activities and performances to offer. Particularly in the performing arts scene, the Munich public often only notices the big houses: The Residenztheater, the Kammerspiele and the Volkstheater, just like the Bavarian State Opera and the Gasteig. Moreover, there is a flourishing independent performing arts scene that is spread throughout the city and offers performances in a wide variety of formats. These performances not only show the great diversity of the performing and narrative possibilities, but also use the most diverse places all over the city.
The audience development program Schau mer mal has set itself the task of making selected performances of Munich’s independent scene more visible and stimulating a dialogue between the Munich community and its artists. Through guided tours, introductory talks and other formats, the various performative approaches are to be made more accessible and the performance locations placed on the city map.
All audience development events are free of charge. Registration is required. Please send questions & registrations by mail to: vermittlung@theaterbueromuenchen.de
The exact dates and formats for the 2021 events will be adjusted according to the performances premiere dates and the current Corona measures. Please keep yourself updated about possible changes on this website!
